Music and visuals

I enjoyed my downtime with my choice of watching relaxation videos or using my iPad to listen to music, and sometimes singing for my friends. I also loved being creative—making Matariki coloring and glitter lights, card making, having a lovely pamper morning, and doing mindful coloring.I had a great time playing in door ten pin with my friends

I jumped into the kitchen to make tasty food, helped make savory scones and Ice weetbix. I love working out at the gym. I helped out with shopping for the center and did some volunteer work at the op shop , and took time for center care like gardening and washing the van.

I love going to Fraser Manor to visit the elderly and have some fun social time. I also went to a drama show to watch my friends perform, and it was amazing! I had a bit of a quiet time under the sunshine at Yatton Park.I also delivered a weetbix slice and then visited the strand to watch the boats.

Nga mihi,

Moeata

Fun times for the month of jun

Kia ora, Moeata here. We finally finished our butterfly mosaic for the sensory room. It looks awesome, I love it. We recently had our iSing Kapahaka performance. I sang “Pokarekareana" with my friend Kathy for everyone. As a one off for My time, My choice I joined the iDance group and I actually had a lot of fun with them. I also got to cook Samoan Chop Suey.Wow that stuff is truly delish.

I am working on my connections and sharing awesome experiences with the people around me. On Friday afternoons, you'll find me working hard at Blaze gym, and I've also been loving my volunteer work, helping with the shopping and tidying up at the SPCA 15th avenue Op shop. Catching up for lunch at the Citizens Club with Connect 20 is an activity that I am really enjoying. I've also enjoyed the beautiful sunshine with lovely walks down at the waterfront park by the lake. I am happy to be surrounding myself with great friends and opportunities to find my space and calm when I need to.

See you next month

Birthday Month

Kia ora Moeata here. I enjoyed having my own space and chilling out in the sensory room. While relaxing on the couch, I caught up on some favourite media, including The Rise of Taylor Swift and some beautiful nature destination documentaries. I have also made sure to keep practicing my song ‘Pokarekareana' with my friend Kathy. .

On the productive side of things, I headed out to purchase some new resources for the centre. Afterward, I spent time on the iPad researching various woodwork projects. I am really keen to help finish building the fire truck and get it ready for painting.

For a bit of fun, and socialization, I played some board games and helped cook devilled sausages, rice and butternut straight from our centre garden. As always I pitched in with general center care, washed the van and garden care. I love my days at the centre and I have learnt that quiet time on my own is very important. I am working very hard on using my words to enable my time, my choice, being exactly that. Till next time Moeata

Waiata

I love singing, especially when I get to help the elders practice their songs. It’s a wonderful way to share my passion and support them.

Centre shopping

I went to New world to buy groceries for the centre. I love pushing the trolley around and I feel quite confident finding things on my own and showed my friends where to go!
